more..... Denis Lees was born on 30th December 1816, son of Thomas & Elizabeth Lees (nee Grady), probably in Montreal Canada, however there is also a possibility that he could have been born in Dublin, , London or Birmingham, UK as no records have been found.

According to the family bible, Denis Lees was one of seven children.
Thomas Lees b. 6.Oct 1813 Montreal America, Denis Lees b. 30 Dec 1816 Chamberley America, Mary Lees b. 11 Mar 1819 Hounslow England, William Lees b. 20 Dec 1822 Killrush Ireland, Margaret Lees b. 6 Jan 1826 Hounslow England, James Lees b 11Jan 1829 Dublin Ireland, Joseph Lees b. 21 may 1838 Birmingham Thomas.

Married Sarah Parsons on 25th June 1860, at Saint Margaret's Church, which is in the grounds of Westminster Abbey & Parish Church for the Houses of Parliament, which is located over the road.

Died on 10th October 1885, in the family home at 7 Bath St, Dudley, Worstershire, England. He was buried on 15 Oct 1885, in the Catholic Cemetery, Dudley, England within the church grounds, which is now paved over.
